The design team has been finalized for David Mamet’s forthcoming Broadway premiere of new play Race. Previews for the play, written and directed by Mamet, begin at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on November 16 with opening set for December 6. No information about the storyline of the play has been revealed.
Race will feature sets by Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto, lighting design by Brian Macdevitt and costumes by Tom Broecker.
The play's previously announced stars include Tony Award nominee David Alan Grier, James Spader, Kerry Washington and Richard Thomas.
Race will be produced by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Steve Traxler, the team behind Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow, Glengarry Glen Ross and November as well as August: Osage County, Blithe Spirit and Hair.
